Would You Rather Book Tag

I know this is a tag but can I just start by saying… THANK EVERYTHING that is good and holy that it is Friday? I seriously thought that this week wasn’t going to end! To make the start of the weekend even better, I was tagged by the lovely Elysa in this tag. If you haven’t checked out her blog, you definitely should! She has amazing content and her recent review on The Bone Houses by Emily Lloyd-Jones was great!

Read Only Trilogies or Standalones?

I love trilogies! To be honest, the more books in a series the better (provided they’re well written and still interesting). I remember being obsessed with Quartets when I was younger, particularly Tamora Pierce’s novels. I love authors that write 10+ books in a series, such as J.R Ward, Nalini Singh and Kresley Cole.

Read Only Female or Male Authors?

Ooh, this is a hard one! I generally don’t mind at all but if I’m forced to choose I would have to say female. Namely because most of my auto-buy authors are female such as Mariana Zapata, K.A. Tucker, Lucy Score, J.R Ward and Madeline Ash.

Shop at Barnes & Noble or Amazon?

Amazon every time. I love reading on my Kindle app. It’s so handy to be able to take it anywhere and one click read!

All Books Becomes Movies or TV Shows?

Is this even worth asking? While I love movies I will hands down watch a TV show over them, any day. There’s just so much more you can do with TV shows, especially since they can go on for YEARS. What’s 120 minutes compared to that??

Read Five Pages Per Day or Five Books Per Week?

Five books per week. Actually, more like 7 but I love reading and honestly would be so lost with only 5 pages a day. Not everybody likes to read fast but I find that I can’t put a book down when it starts getting good!!

Be a Professional Reviewer or Author?

While I love writing the occasional short story my favourite part of being around books is reading and (as of recently) reviewing them! There’s just something so appealing about sharing your thoughts with others.

Only Read Your Top Twenty Favourite Books Over and Over or Always Read New Ones That You Haven’t Read Before?

Oh this is a hard one! I’d have to say read my top 20 favourites. I love the characters so much and see them as life-long friends. Plus, at least half the books I read are re-reads so this fits in perfectly.

Be a Librarian or Bookseller?

I would LOVE to be a librarian!! It sounds like such a great job. I mean… you’d literally be surrounded by books all day! To be more specific I think I’d enjoy being a school librarian.

Only Read Your Favourite Genre or Every Genre except Your Favourite?

Hands down only my favourite. Who can go wrong with paranormal romance for life??

Only Read Physical Books or E-Books?

E-books. I can take as many as I want with me wherever I go. It doesn’t get better than that! I generally read e-books the most but have been getting in to physical books lately as well.

As always, if you’re tagged there’s no obligation to do this but if you do please link to this post. I’d love to see what your responses are! Also, if you aren’t tagged feel free to give this a try if you’re interested!

  1. Oooooooo! This is fun! I think my answers would be: 1. trilogies (only because I read a lot of fantasy) 2. male POV 3. Amazon (cheaper and more efficient with Kindle ha-ha) 4. TV Shows!! 5. If I had time … 5 books a week. 6. Shockingly, professional reviewer ha-ha 7. New ones … though that’d be hard since I re-read quite a few 8. I am a librarian so … librarian lol 9. ONLY MY FAVOURITE 10. PHYSICAL ALL THE WAY! I’m a book hoarder lol! So much fun!

  2. What a fun tag! I love your answers too 🙂 I’ve always wanted to be a librarian too… I also totally agree about books becoming TV shows. Even if the first episode isn’t mind-blowing there’s still time to get back on track with upcoming episodes! And more room to fit more details too. I think I’m gonna give this tag a go now 😂
